Is a BMS 150cc atv what i want for my girlfriend
#1
My g/f is 25 and 5' 6" 125lbs. She has never rode an atv by herself before and is all new to it. She really wants one but of course it has to be pink and fully automatic. Thats when i came across the BMS 150cc sport. Its all she could want but my only concern is this atv too small for her. My daughter has a JCL 110 and its about 59 inches long, some websites say the BMS is 63.3" long others say the same model is 65" long. The JCL seems a bit small for her. If the BMS is not much bigger it wont be too good either. The bad thing is you never get to see pics with anyone riding them to get an accurate idea for scale. Ive searched all over the web and this seems to be the best i can do. So if anyone can tell me if this will be too small, perfect or what i sure would appreciate it. Also if there is another atv out there thats descent size for a small adult, pink, and fully automatic please let me know...and dont say the polaris pheonix 200cc because im not paying that price..lol..thanks.

Time and time again, folks in the know will tell you to avoid these "off-brand" machines!!! And....I think you know that buying a quad just because it is "pink", is probably not a great idea!
Get a Honda 250EX or Recon. They have easy to learn autoclutch transmssions, and either one will run trouble free....forever!

As much as i appreciate the response thats not really the answer im looking for. Im not worried about BMS's reliability its coming from a local dealer that will have no problem fixing anything mechanical with it. My issure is a size matter. Thats all

well what i mean by its coming from a local dealer is he will get it from the BMS company and put it together for me if i buy it. Its not already there for me to look at and sit on to decide

Its great that the local dealer will fix it for you, because they will probably be fixing it a lot......
IMO that machine is WAY too small and not powerful enough. Yes she is a beginner, but she will outgrow something that small very quickly and want something better. You would be much better off going for something slightly used made by a major brand. That way when she grows beyond the machine you will have something to trade in on something bigger........
Those off-brands are worthless the second you take it home.....You will not be able to give it away for free in about 3 weeks.
I would look for one of the 250cc machines made by Honda or Suzuki or maybe the Polaris 200, or even a Kymco.
My wife was a beginner too, and she learned to ride on a Warrior and now has a Raptor 350. And now she wants something faster after only a few years of regular riding. She will learn faster than you think and be totally bored with a little 150cc junker.....

SS, hehe I started on a 90cc... LAST YEAR. I was 14, about 5'10, 180lbs, and I was bored with it after 3 or 4 months MAX.
But we did get a GREAT trade in deal. When I bought the LT-R at an ATV show, the guy said that he'd give us $1000 for my Baja 90, since the selling price of it at Canadian tire is/was $1200. BUT, he didn't know that we got it on sale for $800! LOL
So basically, I learnt to ride for FREE last summer (if you factor in gas, oil, and little stuff like that into the price, it comes to about $1000).
