Default 200es clutch replacement

ok guys, got into a clutch job on my 200 es 84, the centrifugal clutch shoes look ok, but at least one of the friction plate clutches in the basket is worn. its slipping so i figure time for a change of clutches. ok, so how important is it to change the metal plates AND the friction plates? should i change the springs too? and, there is a nut holding the basket onto the transmission input shaft, any trick to removing it?

thanks!

Default 200es clutch replacement

sometimes its hard to get that big nut off the centrifigal clutch..thats the one that useually gives out of the 2.. the thread is a reversed thread and i've seen people actually jamb the piston by putting a small piece of rope down in the cylinder head(under the spark plug hole..) this actually worked.. this happened to me, when i had clutch problems, only changed that one clutch. and it worked perfect... still using it and its perfect...

hope this helps!....
