help! rear brake drum seal
#2
i can tell you what helped me out when i did the rear drum on my foreman. water and mud kept getting in and completly saturated my break shoes!
put new shoes on, buy a new seal and when you place the drum case on put silicone or dielectric grease on the seal and both drum sides. i used dielectric grease on mine and have not since had a problem with water in my drum. (i submerge mine regularly!)
you must make sure that the mateing surfaces of your drum halves are not dented and will provide a close seal.
hope this helps
