i put the preload on my blaster's shocks to the softest setting for preload so i will have a lower ride height for MX, I know this is still ok because i am only 115 pounds, but will it have less bottoming resistance for big jumps now?

At your weight, zero pre-load is where your shocks should have been all along. The basic function of the springs is to preload the shock for heavier weight. It does nothing for the compression, valving, or rebound characteristics of the shock itself. That's done by means of better valving and components in some after market suspension. So it sounds as though your riding style has surpassed the ability of your suspension to keep up with you and new shocks are the option.

Gee, don't take all the credit for lowering your shocks, Daredevil1. I think I remember you coming to someone I know to get those shocks adjusted. Anyway, zero preload is perfect for the kind of riding we, I mean you, do. :-) RIDE RED
