question about 2000 warrior 350
#1
i got a 2000 warrior. it has had the topend rebuilt by the shop. and i got a good deal on it thats why i got it. to me the motor sounds kinda noisy. kinda a rattling sound. i dont know if it might be piston slap. something loose inside or if its notmal for this motor. when your getting on it it dont get any louder, or atleast i cant hear it. but it idle i can hear it. i checked out some vids on you tube sounds like they might be doing it also. but they are mainly staying by the exhaust so i cant tell for sure. i my other atv is pretty quiet rinning motoe kfx700 thats all i have to compare it to. the warrior runs great just that little noise. let me know what you know about thanks. forgive my typing skills

its prolly normal these bikes are pretty noisey lol, there valves are what causes alot of noise and also its just a very old engine design, warriors require alot more valve clearance then alot of other bikes ive noticed, and the tappets on the rockers are very large i think thats where alot of the noise comes from, if it runs smooth, idles good, shifts good, revs fine, has decent power, and is easy to start and such than you should be fine. being a 2000 it might just need a valve adjustment but even with it adjusted in spec there still pretty noisey.

thanks, i didnt really think it was much to be worried about. the motor had a 550 dollar rebuild on it about 5-6 weeks ago. i guess ill ride it till i notice it getting any louder. i kinda like this one better than my kfx 700. that 700 is just too big for trails and stuff. and this little think can get through alot faster without worring about getting too close between some trees. and its paid for ao i can get nasty with it. i have put exhaust on it and jetted it made a decent difference put a k&n air filter on it i dont think that it really didnt anything atleast i cant tell if it did.
