ok ive got an almost completely stock trx 400x....
the only thing ive done is taken out the tip on the excaust so it will open up to a 1 inch exit...
not completely gutted tho.
since ive taken the out it still has very good back pressure and sum increased speed...

here the thing i had my buddy ride alongside me in my truck on the highway to get a round about speed...
he said i was going 80 but i think hes bluffing...
but i cnt let him ride the bike while i ride in the truck to see the speedometer beacause he doesnt push it as hard as i do...hes a chicken...

anyone know the average stock top end speed??????

 

67MPH is around stock.

 

Did you rejet after uncorking the exhaust???? These come jetted lean from the factory, to meet emissions. You uncork it, and it will be even more lean!!! Don't be fooled, lean engines feel like you are getting better performance....right up until your piston melts!

 

recon is dead on,lean is mean until she goes. now with the new emissions,you really have to rejet to ensure your getting enough fuel,because now i doubt you are.

 

yea i havent jetted yet but im still looking on what to order to jet it...my father in law is a bike mechanic he said to order it and hel do it for me...

but yea u guys are right the bike runs lean as all hell and hot hot hot
im gunna end up changing the pipe and regetting in a week or so...
itll give it a little more power and keep the engine cooler....

i think its kind of retarded with the emmissions control deal.. ya know sacrifising my 7000 engine so i dont mess up the atmosphere... tree huggers i swear

 

ive been curious about rejetting on my quads. how much does it cost and how do you do it?

 

07 400EX.I DONT EVEN THINK MINE DID 67 STOCK HIGH 50s maybe.id probbaly be pushin it to say it did 67 after all my mods.

 

Stock it'll do 60-62 at most. I had mine stock clocked at 61 GPS verified.

 

really? i thought they would go faster. my 3 quads will hit 55 tops. i know there are sport quads that would go much faster, just thought a 400 sport would have more in it. but i havent ridden sport barely at all, so idk.
