450S MUD, CV Joints, Warranty, Help !!!!
#1
I Have a 2000 450S I have mudded it some I Recently got stuck in some Clay mud the frontend was under the mud about to the top of the tires.
During clean up this clay was hard as a rock when dried, now a week later at slow speeds with the wheels turned you get a terrible grinding noise.
1. Could the CV boots have leaked and some of that hard clay gotten in there.
2. Also it seems to have dried all the ball joints and bushings out with no grease fittings
what to do.
3. If It is CV Joints What is honda gonna say because I say the boots should not be leaking
in the first six months and should be covered under warranty..
4 Any Ideas or Opinions will be appreciated.

cheapest and simplest thing to check would be the front brakes..its possible you got some muck and water in there and that is what your hearing..if not jack up the quad and turn the tires and try to locate exactly where the noise is coming from,i would start with the brakes though and then check the wheel bearings, both cheaper and easier than axles and c/v`s..good luck
