Newly rebuilt 450es, runs but gears wont engage
#1
Hey!
Just rebuilt a 2004 trx450es from the bottom end up. New crank, bearings, clutch weights, bored head, new oversized piston and rings.
I rebuilt the engine using a Honda Service Manual, followed each step to the tee, double and triple checking, (no extra parts either!)
I installed the engine on the weekend. I fired it up and it runs great. However, when I try to shift it in gear it catches for a split second then nothing. So I have a running engine with no driveability.
I do get an error code 8 flashes, angle sensor, in the es module.
Did I mess something up with the clutch/ tranny? anyone else have this problem b4?
Any help will be greatly appriciated. I really don't want to pull th eengine again
