yamaha blaster oil troubles
#1
i have a 2002 yamaha blaster and when i look in the view finder there is barely any oil in the crankcase. i stood it straight up and then i looked in the view finder and it was completely filled top to bottom and then i dropped it down and i looked in the view finder and there was still barely any in there i dont know what the problem is i think its i dont have enough oil in it. like its at about 1/4 way up the view finder if that, but when i stood the bike straight up and down it was filled
does anyone know what this means?? like more oil or what
and does anyone know how much oil should be in there, i have 1/2 quart in there now but i heard it should be more
i think the case is 650 mL3 as in milliliters cubed but i am not positive
please help
thanks a bunch

To get the correct fluid level put the quad on a level surface with all 4 tires touching the ground. The oil level should be right in the middle of the view window. I usually put 3/4 of a quart in the blasters I work on. Sounds like you need a little more oil. Make sure you are running wet clutch compatible oil.

ok thats what i thought about not having enough in it
but i am using castrol gtx i ran out of yamalube ....
ok i went outside and i looked in my view finder and it was at half way which was odd
so i went out with my buddy and we just went for a quick burn so i could rip some stuff up then we did like 5 hills... i came back and my view finder was empty and i know its in my engine at this point so i filled it up to a little over halfway in the view finder and i barely used 1/2 quart of oil :/ i dont know if thats fine or what
also another question....
i have a full exhaust system on it but the fatty that i have on is held on by an exhaust spring when it idles its fine but when i rev it up a couple times right in a row the fatty kinda i guess moves off the round thing it slides onto and when it slides off exhaust comes out the sides but i never notices it but my friend did, there is oil around the fatty from where it connects to the head but its only a little bit but i dont know, is it fine that the fatty is doing that
please answer both ?'s
THANKS ALOT!!!
