Red face Are the new Polaris blue xenon headlamp bulbs brighter than stock?

I was wondering if anyone has tried the new Polaris blue xenon headlight bulb replacements. As far as I know polaris makes them as a replacement bulb.

I have them, and yes, they are brighter. The stock bulbs were 35 watt and the xenon bulbs are 50 watt for my 500. So right off the bat, they are brighter simply because of wattage and lumen output. The xenon gas probably makes them even brighter.

Didn't see them the last time I looked on the Polaris site, so I'm not sure that Polaris still has them?

Talking Polaris still makes blue xenon light bulbs

Polaris still makes the blue xenon headlight bulbs cause I just ordered two sets for my 2008 Nuclear Sunset Orange Limited Edition Sportsman 500 EFI. I have the bypass headlight modification to run all three headlights on high beam. We'll see how they work. I have the headlight modification bypass on both of my sportsman 500 EFI's. It makes a lot of difference with 3 headlights instead of one on high beam!!

If you are doing a lot of night riding... it's nice to have that mod. However, if you are plowing snow at night like I have, having the 3 lights on would put an awful strain on the charging system. My low battery light came on with just the low beams on... and of course, running the winch a lot.

Sportsmanfanz, do you have a part # for the bulbs? I have (2) 08 SP 500 EFI's & would like to put the bulbs in the quads.

Post Blue Xenon Headlight Bulbs

FX4, Part# for polaris blue xenon light bulbs, 2876464. You will need two sets for each sportsman. I paid $26.99 for each set. As a good rule of thumb I never let the volts on my battery get below 12.5 volts. I plow snow at night and have never had my low battery light come on. Even with all three headlights on. Hopefully with my new headlight bulbs I wont need my high beams considering they are way brighter than stock. I know with a headlight bypass switch puts alot of strain on your charging system, thats why I keep up with the voltage on my battery. But if you drive your sportsman at night like I do you cant go wrong with the bypass switch and im sure if your battery falls below 12.0 volts your gonna get a low warning light displayed on your readout.
