I'm new to the ATV thing atm and just wondering about insurance. I read somebody saying in Ontario that they need insurance to be legally riding on crown land. Anyone know if BC is the same? And anyone who lives in BC or anyone who knows, where should I go to get insurance for it? I don't know if the person I was talking to was just retarded or something but I called just a normal insurance broker and ICBC quoted me approximately $2500 for 6 months. Yeah I know that doesn't seem to make any sense. Thanks.

 

Check with Progresive or any other carrier. Whoever quoted you $2,500 is an idiot - you need to shop around. Full coverage for most of my ATV's runs me $75 per year. On my newer and more expensive Outlander, it's $150 per year.

 

Mine is $250 per year in Ontario. It covers fire theft,vandalism and stone chips believe it or not. LOL

$2600 for 6 month is nuts! the ticket for having no isurance is only $200 when a person in our group was caught.
