Default Shifting a Honda 200x

My first Honda 200X is an auto X with a 200s engine. I just bought another one with the X engine and just got it pieced together enough to take it for a spin. I used the clutch lever when I first put it in gear and took off but then forgot to clutch it when I shifted to the higher gears. Am I suppose to use the clutch lever every time I shift or just taking off?

Thanks

Ive shifted my 250R and 350X both without the clutch and haven't had a problem with either one (from that at least) if your not beating it all the time wile you do it i don't see anything wrong with it

Default Honda 200X Shifting

Thanks for the info. I don't beat my machines. I ride easy most of the time(on all 3 wheels). I do play in the mud and snow a little but not out grinding the grab bar off.

Thanks again!

You can shift with or without the clutch, I hardly ever use the clutch on pretty much all of my rides, esp my 200x but not using it will wear things out quicker, I just like the fast shifts, and don't really care if it breaks i'll fix it.
