Default 97 SP500 fuel fuel everywhere....

Well, what started out as air cleaner box full of fuel yesterday got worse today.

As soon as I turn the petcock on & start cranking the unit, there is fuel just POURING out of the carb. I am starting to think that I am going to have to get a manual & pull this carb off.

Anyone run into this before??

yep take the carb off and check to see if dirt got in there or they are worn out and replace. not the big of deal to fix right up.

Bikes fixed.

Believe it or not, the needle was actually BADLY worn out. Got a new needle/seat kit from my local dealer (in stock) and some necessary o-rings, good to go!

Change the oil, crankcase probably has gas in it, turn the gas off when not in use and new needle will last a long time.
