new to me jet 250

hey all.
i have recently just traded a old sled I had for a 2008 jet moto 250. Was two weeks old when I got it and was told less then a tank of gas on it. Just a few questions about this atv. I have just changed the oil over to ams syn. I was wondering if this quad needs any other fluids. I am clueless when it comes to this thing but I did not know if it needs any rear diff fluid or trans. pretty much im asking if theres any other fluids i sould change then just oil. Any info about this atv also would be great. thanks mark.

What kind of Jetmoto 250 is it the sport type with chain drive and raptor style fenders or the utility style with racks, hitch and shaft drive??
If its the sport kind with chain drive etc. its just like an old honda 250 engine. The engine oil is lubercates the trans and all.

right on its the sport style. I gave her a good look over and tiightened and lubed evry thing. I was just wondering because the rear end has a greese nip on top and then what looks like a drain plug under. I could not see a fill so i thought the greese would do it all. and one more ques is the air/fuel screw on this model the one on the bottom of the carb that is pretty much imposable to get to? so far I love this little thing and sure my friends 700 may be faster but they cant do block long wheelys.

Welcome to the forum mipsco1!
Congrats on the trade. The Jetmoto 250 is as good as any other Chinese 250 as far as Im concerned. Depending on your elevation you might want to go to richer pilot and main jets. If your over 3-4K the stock ones will be ok. If not the stock main is a 109 if I remember right. A 117 or 124 does wonders for top end response. The pilot is I believe (but not sure) a 41 and I think Ive got a 44 or 45 in mine. Ill dig around for the numbers to confirm the pilot jet. The bigger pilot jet eliminates the cough and die syndrome during warm up and greatly improves response off idle. Yes the fuel screw is the one on the bottom..If you have the stock jets Id start at about 2.5 turns out... more than likely its at 1.5 turns out now. Using needle nose pliers makes the job a little easier...
I would also suggest using blue loctite on every bolt/fastener that uses either a phillips screw driver and or a 8 or 10 mm wrench. All the plastic and the brackets for the plastic are a great place to start...
kingquad400...thanks for the help..

thanks. I thought that was the screw down there but wanted to make sure before i start messing around. I am at pretty high elevation(sask canada) so i think the jet will be good but after I get the mix perfect i guess ill tell then.
