Default 2006 suzuki vinson 500???

this may be a dumb question but im new to this 4 wheelere thing. today we were out riding and when i hit the 4wd i heard a pop and now its hard to steer and makes a popping noise. the boot that is on the right side cv shaft(closest to the wheel) is torn and thats where he noise is coming from. so my question is.... i found a cv half shaft on ebay and im wondering if thats what i actually need?? item #110338095311. any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks again. and it seems like it is a common prob and a easy fix. any help or advice with install would be good too.

i have and 03 and i tend to have the same steering problem occasionally. with mine all i have to do is shift in and out of 4wd again and its fine. mine also doesnt have a crack in the boot. i would have to say take it to a dealer and let him inspect it before putting your money into a new cv shaft. its hard to say what the problem is.

it does pull to one side when you drive it now. regardless of if its in 2wd or 4wd. does that help at all?

well if it does it in two wheel drive then likely its not your cv shaft unless it is bent or a possible loose connection with your rim. im not quite sure. iv heard problems with the fourwheel drive but iv never heard of a problem with it in two wheel also unless when you shift out that side is not coming out of fourwheel and there is something wront with your drive up front. other than that im not sure wut could be wrong.
