1994 polaris 400l 2x4 how do i take the piston out of the mastercylinder

Default 1994 polaris 400l 2x4 how do i take the piston out of the mastercylinder

Does anyone know how i do this??? I cannot figure out how to get the piston out of the front master cylinder?

i actually need to know this too. jsut went today to rebuild and cant get the piston out.

The master should be similar in all brands, so I'll tell you how I did it on my Wolverine last year when I rebuilt the master on the handle bars. The plunger has a spring,so you can push on the old one, and let go quick,and it may let the spring push the plunger out to where you can either grab it with a needle nose, or get a small pick or screw driver behind it and pry it out. A messy way may be to fill the resivoir, put a rag over the port you took the hose off, and give a quick squeeze on the brake lever and shoot it out. It can be a real bear, but a tiny needle nose or forceps is your best tool for this.
