Default What brand do I have??????

I just got a mid size ATV. Not running yet.
Almost sure it's made in China.
Looks like a Rokota.
97cc 4 stroke engine. Electric start only. It has a shaft drive and rear drum brake.
Cannot find a brand name anywhere on it. Only markings are what I think is the serial number etched on the frame.
I need to get some parts for it, but I need to know what it is to order them.

I have one just like that but with a 110cc engine and 3 speed with reverse. Mine is called Ducar at the tme they had a 90 and 110 model. I'd have to look on the frame to see what factory it came out of. There was also another brand I saw at the time with same set up in a 90 model but 4 speed and no reverse.

What parts are you looking for??

Wink Thanks

Is it made in China????
I think it maybe a 110. On the engine case it's stamped 97cc.
I'm not sure what parts I need yet. Haven't really had time to work on it.
I think I'll need brakes and possibly a belt.
No key, so I'll have to by-pass to see if it even starts.
Got any pictures of the one you have????

Yes its made in China.

Your can buy an ignition switch for it online pretty cheap I suspect. Just have to take your's off and make sure the conections are the same.

Smile ID for parts

When looking for parts, what model should I say it is?????
I never heard of Ducar. Like most of these, different brand names are all the same model.
I have a feeling this is may have been sold by "Checkers". I remember seeing something like this for sale a few years back.
Don't remember what they were called.
Main parts I'm conserned about are the rear shoes, starter, CDI.
It looks like the CDI is the same one used on most of these Chinese engines.
Looks like the starter is smaller, but mounts the same place.
Most of the ATV's I see have disc brakes on the rear. Hope the shoes won't be a problem to find.
Reason why I'm asking about the shoe is because I found a shoe lining under the seat. The lining part only, not the metal part.
If it ever stops raining here, I may have a chance to work on it.

Most of these Chinese atv's use common parts so really it shouldn't be an issue. Try here http://www.atvforless.com they have online parts diagrams for ATV's. So at least you can get a parts break down and see if stuff matches up.

1st I'd get it running before I'd worry about brakes. Whats up with the starter?? If its toast for now if put in 2nd or 3rd, take another quad and pull start it ! You have to push or lift on the shifter a bit so it will free wheel etc.

The starter on those are very common and cost about $40.00.

There are several onlilne chinese parts suppliers.

Talking Thanks

This is just what I was looking for.
I'll try to see if it will start and run before doing anything else.
Thanks for all the help.
