Is an aftermarket rad carrier hard to swap with my stock carrier? Should a rad carrier have a chain tensioner on it? And also do i have to do any mods at all to put the rad in my 250x? thanks..

Im just tryin to figure out what i have to replace to put a rad carrier in. Like, does a rad carrier come with a chain tensioner, and do i have to use the original brake caliper mount.

87' 250x, mods in the process.

 

The RAD Bearing Carrier is similar with other aftermarket bearing carriers on the market.As far as chain tension adjustability it will probably have more than stock. It will slide right in the housing with no mods and use the old brake caliper mounting plate. I have switched my stock carrier to a Lonestar unit and ran into no problems during the switch.
