Default 25" tires on a Hawkeye

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forums this month and have a couple of questions. First I've noticed that some of you Hawkeye owners put 25" tires on your bikes. I was wondering if you have had any long term problems from doing this? such as structeral/mechanical. Second thing, have you had any problems that might have resulted from the carb slide mod? My Hawkeye is completly stock for now, however Ido have some ideas thx to you guys. I've already ordered a set of tries from GBC and need to know if i should watch for any potential problems. Also I live in Albuquerque, which is a little over 5300 ft. in elevation. i think that the carb mod would help quite a bit with bottom end throttle response. Thank you for all the great information in your previous posts!!

we put 25" swamp lites on the 400 HO(which is the same as the hawkeye) and i had to trim alittle of the rear fender flare as it would rub. a little too big of tire for this bike. imo

Thank you for responding to my post, however I guess what I'm asking for is, have there been any long term (bad) effects from doing these mods?

no there souldnt be any if your only going up a tire size. its when you put huge tires on that might make things wear quicker. imo
