Default 850xp tire out of round, normal?

I have one front tire that is out of round and shakes the four wheeler at higher speeds. Is this normal on the new machines and should I take it in to be replaced, or won't they do any thing about it. Mine gets a decent amount of gravel and tar rode time. I suppose getting it balanced might help, but for how long for the terrain we ride them in?

I've seen a something that you can put in the valve stem that will balance the tire.
I beleive it goes into the tire and it self balancing. They use something like that on semi truck and trailers i was told. I think it was $15 bucks a wheel.

i know on my 800 the wheels came balanced. it does make a differnce for sure and even in bad terraoin i didnt lose the weights. i heard heard good things about the type of internal balaning materail he's talking about for big tires but wounder if it would work on wheeler tires?

ATV tires are rarely prefectly smooth if you jack it up and spin the tire, even if you can't feel it,you can see it. Some are rougher than others. Also look at your beads make sure everything looks normal with the bead seat. Some people use Airsoft BBs or Dyna Beads on truck mud tires, but from what I have heard the results aren't too good with radial. I used both clamp on and sticky weights on ATVs with no problems..if you use the stick on weights make sure the wheel is clean and stick a piece of duct tape over the weights, press it down real good around the weights..that will keep most of the water and sand out. I'd just get them balanced. If you take the tires in and they can't be balabced or they find a defect(broken belts ect) then maybe try to get it warrantied.
I agree balancing can make a significant difference, and you'll likely be suprised how little weight it will take. I know when I had my XTRs balanced they were BAD wobbly/jumpy at higher speeds..I figured they would take a crazy amount of weight..but they didn't.

i dont think an internal ballast would work on ATV tires because they dont get the required speed to throw the stuff into one spot

Does anyone know if the xp's tires come balanced? As Stendori stated I believe polaris tires have come balanced from the factory in the past. I know my 800 did. My 800 is very smooth at high speeds even on pavement. But my 550 xp has some viberation above about 52 mph. I even made sure all tires had 5 psi in them.

Do any of the shops do balancing the tires as part of setup? I'll take the tire in and see what happens. With the speed the 850 reaches you would think it would be pretty standard. Thanks for the replies.

Not real clear on what you are asking...you mean does the dealer do it as part of machine set up? If so not that I have ever heard of.
Or do you mean does the tire shop normally balance when they mount tires? If so..yes on auto tires..most I have used for ATV tires will ask if you want them balanced.
Out of curiosity, how do you know what tire/wheel it is? Did you run it with the tires off the ground or can you just tell by feel riding it. Reason I ask is if it is just by feel you might want to take them all in..you may have more than one that is out of balance..I always just balance all 4..cost me like $20
On a side note,I just though about these being the stock tires. Mine were smooth up over 70mph,the stock tires are pretty light and don't have alot of tread to negatively affect balance..you very well may have a bad tire if the vibe is severe.

Yep, I was wondering if atv shops balanced like they do for cycles. My front tire is bad because I can see it wobble going down the rode. I jacked the rear up and both rears are out of round too, but not as bad as the front tire. I'll have to take it to the tire shop, thanks for the replies.
