Lock them machines up
#1
I want to let you guys in on a secret. When your done riding Spend 5 more minutes and put a lock on it.My ride was stolen out of barn last summer. We live in a rural farming town and our new nieghbors snuck in and took it.They thought that by snipping the ignition they could start it.Lucky for me it didn't start even after they drug it up and down the rode with another machine.I ended replacing the switch and it's pigtale($45.00)and the clutch.Along with every fluid.Whats worse is the cops could not prove it was them even though thier footprints was there. So a $20.00 cable lock now secures it to a beam in my barn.

Even though you lock it up, make sure you have insurance on it as well. As the saying goes, a lock only keeps an honest man honest. Insurance is the best security one can have on their quad.

Did you ever beet the top speed on your raptor of 74.1, when you mounted the GPS to the bike?
P.S. Shooting a moving target is alot harder then shooting holes in paper, try a pit-bull. My scars are healed but I still hate them.

My friends Banshee was stolen. He was selling it and the guy took it for a test ride and went right down the road and wasn't to be found again. Months later in the paper I read, a guy was caught and arrested for stealing over 13 quads. One of them was my friends, but it was already sold by the stealer. Luckily he had insurence and got more than what he was selling it for. Be careful.

BlueRap,
Nope, 74.1 is still my best top end. After a bunch of us (about 8 Raptors) went riding at the Red River a couple of weeks ago, my fastest speed was ONLY in the upper 50s. On the trails that was flying and nothing was waiting for us to pull over to pass us. Even if some guys are getting 80+ mph?, I couldn't imagine ever using it. Also, on my plane trip last week, I did get a reading of 508 mph at around 33,000 feet.
