Default Trailer for my x2

I am looking for a trailer for my x2. I found this one at tractor supply.

Tractor Supply Company - Carry-On 5 ft x 8 ft SP Trailer, 2000 lb GVWR

or this one:

What do you think? Any other suggestions for about the same price.

I'd look on ebay, or craigslist, I recently got a great deal on a 6'X16" for only $500

Nothing on craigslist, I am not overly interested in ebay. I have found a local used trailer that interests me for $500.

My question in how are the above trailers? I can get a new trailer for close to what a used trailer would cost me. Would one of the new trailer work for me, or are they just junk and wouldn't hold up an ATV.

Default I am also shopping for a trailer for my x2

I have looked at the carry on trailers, That is what everybody carrys Lowes, Home Depot, Menards, Cabelas, TSC ect. To me they seem light duty. Especially the small ones with the wire mesh floor. I hear the mesh floors get beat up pretty easy. They seem to twist alot if you stand on the front corners. The wheels and tilres are small. I looked at the same carry on 5x8 you are looking at $699 I believe.

They may be strong enough to carry a x2 for a milliion miles, but I tend to want something that is built better.

I like the H&H 5x8 or 5x10 with the solid 15 inch steel sides. The best price I can find for a new one is $1130 They have a 3000GVWR and 15 inch wheels. Very well built and sturdy.

I have been watching craigslist for a used one in my area. I missed a deal on a 2005 used H&H for $750 it sold in about 10 hours.

I am also considering a 2001 Aluma 4.5 x8 for $800 that is still listed on craigslist, nice trailer, all aluminum.

If I can, I hope to find a nice used heavy duty trailer for the price of a new light duty unit.

Let me know what you find as I am still shopping myself

i got a 4x8 trailer for $100. think its rated at 1200 or 1500lbs. has a plywood bed. needed a bit of fixing like new bearings and seals and i added 6" sides, fenders, led marker lights, led brake lights. made my own 4ft ramps. it had small 8" tires. they worked tell this spring when one poped then i replaced them with 12" tires. lot of people i talked to said the small 8" tires are junk for road speeds. your going 55 the trailer is going 60-65mph. my trailer has worked great. i use it during winter for pulling the wheeler to plow snow. id say either trailer would work. aslong as its gona be used for small things like the wheeler or lawn tractors. if you plan to use it for bigger things get a bigger trailer.

If its only one quad you need to haul around i would go for the 5x8. I think it would be a great trailer for the use you need it for. Dont forget a spare lol

I guess my quastion is not the size but the quality. Is the wire mesh going to hold the x2, I do not really go far with my X2, just around the county - I kinda like to lightness, in case I need to haul anything into the woods, I can attach the trailer to my X2 and haul cargo with my quad.

I guess I just want to make sure the quad won't fall through the trailer, I won't fall through the ramp and the trailer might last 5-10 years.

I think I would opt for a new aluminum trailer. Will last longer & lighter than steel.
