Just looks like blow-by to me. Not uncommon. Probably needed the rings replaced.

Wrong size or didn't seat right. Did you line up the arrows?

I understand that Mr. Vindell is inexpierienced, but maybe you other guys would explain why you would bother to re-ring a battered up piston and bore like that.
The piston is obviously cooked and the bore gouged.

Why? Cost. Maybe not ideal but the rings can make a difference.

Can't tell much from those pics(at least I can't)..The proper way would be to have the piston and cylinder measured and see how much clearance there is..Replace parts accordingly...As for the engine blowing up I would say you aren't in any danger..Blowby will just decrease your power level not blow up the engine..As for the oil on the crank do you premix or is it still oil injected?

looks like the cylinder needed to be bored out .....I dont think honing the cylinder would have been enough..judging by the pics.

just got a pre-owned koso cylinder, piston, and new ring's. installed. doas not seem to have the same low end power. Only rode it about 30 minutes total. seemed to pull more mid to top end. Stock machine other than slighly ober bore. what is going on, carb to small, increase size of jet, clutch?
