Default Wombat 50 leaking fuel

My Wombat 50 is leaking fuel from the carburetor. I literally put fuel in the tank and it comes right back out of the carburetor.
Kazuma has new carbs for $49, normally $80 on sale. They have the rebuild kit for $25.
How good are the rebuild kits? Should I buy a carb and rebuild kit and rebuild the old one and have a spare? This thing has maybe 5 hours of ride time on it from a 28 lb 3 yr old and an occasional 200lb fatazz like me to get it in and out of the trailer. Fun little thing to ride on the street.
Help me out with what to do. Do the carbs need rebuilding this much? If so, I think I buy a new one on sale and a rebuild kit.

Or am I diagnosing the problem wrong?

The float is stuck. See the thread I just put up about the brushbear just below this, or take the carb apart and clean the float bowl out. Any Chinese carb you get will have the gel pack. It is supposed to dissolve in the gas...

Thanks biskit134, i took the carb out and opened her up and it was as a stuck float bowl. I ordered another carb in haste for $49 from Kazuma. The quad is all apart and I found out I needed a new battery. I went through and covered all the electrical connections with di-electric grease, wd-40'd the crap out of every joint checked all the connections, adjusted the valves, fixed some wiring, and it looks like I need new hoses. I will go get new hoses and a new battery and fire her up.
Thanks for the help. I'll keep y'all posted.
