Default Raptor 80 mods

I will be modding my daughter's raptor 80 in the next few weeks.
I will be installing what most others have...
- K&N air filter
- tail pipe from eBay (creates a cheap performance pipe with no restriction)
- clutch mod. I will take out 4 *****
- aftermarket performance CDI
- wheel spacers

What do you guys rejet the carb to?
Do you change the main jet and the pilot jet? or just the main nozzle?

I searched many different forums, but their is not much info on these raptor 80.
The only mods I find are for the raptor 50.
Are there any carb or throttle mods to be done on the raptor 80?

You have found no mods and such because it's not a great machine to do mods to.
Sorry, no offence meant.

It's no racer, but in the ruff it's hard to beat. Kids can run amok hitting small rocks or fallen trees without any worries of damage. It's built like a tank, not a race car.

We ride as a family off the beaten path, not on the track. Just need longer legs to keep up with the rest of the machines. A little more power for the mud holes would put a perma-smile on my daughters face as well.

I hear shaving the head .020 makes a difference. The increased compression would grunt her thru the mud.

Maybe try Micky Dunlap's "Four Stroke Tech". Mickey has worked on and has something for most any 4 stroke made.

Checkout the above website. These guys live and breath Raptor 80's. If there is a mod for one, they probably developed it. I congratulate you on the spacers. I assume you have already removed the plastic air restrictor...

There are several carb mods available. The slides do not open fully, and this is a big power gain. The folks at this site can lead you through it.
