Angry 2001 Polaris Exploer 300 Problems

i have a explorer and i have a an issue with it when i put into gear it makes a grinding sound then when i get get going it seems like it doesn't have much power is this common for explorers too have these kind of problems

are you sure its going into gear all the way. it might need the linkage adjusted. as far as power goes its not too bad for a 2 stroke 300. if it doesnt seem to have good take off or any top end, maybe check the blet and or clutches for wear. the seconadry buttons do wear out. imo

Check the "bell crank" arms on the tranny.These are aluminum and strip out after time.can get loose too and not let it shift completely
