I'd like to see a 450 Griz with EPS, FI and a bunch of lightweight parts to lower the overall weight to about 500 pounds or less. Would make an awesome quad with a ton of capability.

There won't be any more 2 strokes made by anyone... maybe ever again.
Governmental and environmental restrictions killed them.
I miss the angry chainsaws too.

Light weight is not a adavantage on a 4x4 utility, thats when you hear about bent or broken frames. frames.

Don't count out 2-strokes!!. Some of the new technology that the outboard motor companies have come up with meet and even do better than 4-strokes do!! Would not suprise me a bit to see 2-strokes make a come back

I beg to differ with you TLC on lighter not being better. I have a 700 Griz and a 450 Griz and they weigh virtually the same. Lighter would DEFINATELY be better on the 450. Just because something is lighter in weight does NOT mean that it is any less durable. There are many places that a lighter weight alloy metal could actually be stronger than the standard steel frame while being considerably lighter. Lighter weight on a 450 to say 500 pounds with EFI and EPS would make the little Griz a beast. It's already low center of gravity and tighter turning radius would make for a great quad in the tight wooded areas that I ride in.
