thanks again but tried there already with no luck, maybe it's not a chain tensioner?? it's like a spring loaded arm that pushs up against the bottom of the chain and stops it from flopping around. i think i'll get a picture of the part and post it up.

They list them for the 150's also but no picture JetMoto Parts Catalog

I'm sure the other site has them too even if they don't list them.

It looks to me like just the roller is bad...Or is it the whole assembly that is bad?

 

I have the Jet 150 and it's mounted on the right side. Yours looks pretty close I'd bet one off the jet 250 will work. Probably better too as the Jetmoto tensioner has a bearing in there for the roller so it lasts longer. Yours looks like its just a plastic roller spinning on the shaft.
