Rear shock info on warrior/raptor's
#1
I have a '97 warrior and the rear shock is leaking and am having issues getting the sealhead replaced. Most shops don't replace them do to a clip that has to be drilled to get to. Most want to sell me a new shock from the higher end producers. I don't want to spend $600-1,000 for one shock. Mine has almost no adjustments other than spring rates. On bikes for years they have had adjustments for compression speed and rebound, even two stage adjusments. Do some of the newer sport atv's have adjsutable shocks? Did Yamaha change the mounting location's for the rear from the older to newer yr warrior/raptors?

all the warrior and raptor 350 shocks are swapable im pretty sure, the banshee is a cheap alternative that works better, also the raptor 660 shock will work also but will raise your bike a little bit more.

It's remote mount now, but I see them on line and looks like I have enough clearance for the resivor on the shock body, if not I'll sell it look at spending some cash. I see them mounted on some bikes upside down so may look at that also.
