The only adjustment on the carb that will increase fuel is the fuel screw..(usually located on the bottom of the carb and verey difficult to get to) I use needle nose pliers some times to adjust it.. The other way is to get oversize jets. Both the main and pilot jet are usually to small for good performance. Most Chinese atv's are jetted to pass emissions tests, just like WR Yamahas and CRX Hondas..and all of the old XR's and the new CRF's. Determining what brand jets you have is the hardest part. Most are Keihin jets but my 125 had a stock carb I could never find jets for. I drilled them out to a larger size before getting a new carb for it. The carb will need to be removed and taken apart to change the jets..OK it can be done on the machine but its much easier to work on if its removed..

Since it was brought up, would re jetting my carb be a good investment for trying to strangle some more horsepower out of my engine? Or would it be better to upgrade to a PZ30 (currently my ATV has a PZ27 carb)

If re jetting is the way to go, could someone point out a good place to find replacement jets for me? If pictures or whatever is needed just let me know. Thanks in advance!!

Replacing the pilot jet will get rid of the cough and die syndrome during warm up.(choke is not really needed either)..A larger main jet will allow the engine to make full power at high RPM..Im pretty sure my jetmoto 150 has a PZ 27...and the 200 and 250 have a PZ30...They both use Keihin jets..

What size engine do you have Danthalis?

It's a 250cc (229 is the actual size) and I believe it's a lifan motor. I'm not having any issues at startup, but wouldn't mind an extra bit of pep in the throttle. I have a little bit of an issue getting high RPM in the final gear. Here's a photo of the engine. I will get one of the carb tomorrow when the sun is up.

I was told by another V4SW owner that it's a PZ27 but I'll make sure based on what you said lol

All of the 250's are in the 229cc range...Ill check and make sure Im correct about carb size tomorrow when Im at my shop...Ill also check on the jet sizes Im using in my 250 Jetmoto..

It also could be possible that the engine isnt capable of pulling the top gear..a 1 tooth smaller front sprocket should take care of that..It will lower your top speed but if you cant pull top gear anyway it might not make a difference in top speed.
