Price Check (and EPS debate)
#1
Hiya Folks,
I've been chatting with a number of dealers regarding an 850 XP with and without EPS. The lowest prices I'm getting for one with EPS is $8700 but the lowest I got for one without EPS is $7300. I'm finding it very hard to justify spending $1400 on power steering. Is it really that "amazing" if you will? This will be mostly used for trail riding with the occassional plowing in the winter.
Thanks for any advice.
Cheers,
cc

Power-steering should be around $700 more. I was just at the dealer this morning and 850 Non-EPS was $7999 850 with EPS $8699
I really like my power-steering. That being said I think the non-eps handles great as well. I don't think you will be dissapointed in either.

If you can get a non-eps 850 for $7300 I want to know the dealer after you purchase because we'll go buy one for the Mrs. I'd have to see that invoice to believe it because that's a heck of a deal. Where are you located?

I would not pay that much for EPS. I rode one without EPS and the steering was easy compared to my 05 SP 500. I would be happy with the non EPS. EPS is one more item to break!
