2001 660 Raptor Need Help!!
#1
Okay I purchased this thing December of 2001 and had loads of fun for a year or so even though I did not get to ride much. The over the years it started becoming longer between runs until one day I went out to ride and the battery was dead and would not take a charge. I put off going right then and getting a battery and as the weeks clicked by it got further out of my mind until I wanted to ride again and so the cycle began. Well 2 years later I finally made the effort to go to town and buy one of these batteries. After installing it she would not crank. Opps the gas is over 2 years old. So I drain the tank and put in new gas and with my hand over the holes in the air box leading to the carbs I was able to get her fired up, but no idle. After several times it finally got to the point I could crank it while holding the throttle but still no idle. I took the plunge and headed down the dirt road and on the open road she runs like I remembered her but after a 3 mile run still no idle. I am assuming the idle jets are gummed up, this bike has never been apart so it is all stock. My question; is there a chemical I can run through with gas to clean up the jets or some mechanical method. I do not want to take the carbs off
Any recommendation is appreciated!!!

you can maybe try seafoam or stabil, i think those are just fuel stabilizers though.
i would assume it would be ok to run some kind of carburator or fuel injector cleaner through, that might help clean them up a little bit.
