rear wheel on sportsman
#1
has anybody had problems with the right rear wheel getting stuff between the brake and the wheel, and pushing a hole in the rim??
first time it happened pushed a hole in the rim about the size of a half dollor.. second time the bolt on top of the brake came out and the brake went through my rim.. riped the whole rim up.. friend bought new tires and rims for his 08 sportsman so i bought his tires and rims from him (had around 300 miles on them, and no marks on the inside of any rims).. when i took my tire off today and was looking at the cv joint i noticed the rim has marks from rocks or something getting hung and rubbing..

I think the 12" rims are the problem...I had the same thing happen on 1 of my front rims, bit of a pain to say the least. I just took the tire off and had the rim welded since it's just aluminum. I think when I need to replace the tires I may upgrade to a set of 14" rims to solve the problem.
