Default 1998 sportsman regulator/rectifier location

where exactly is the rectifier located at? in the parts diagram it shows it somewhere in the front. i saw what i thought was it at the the bottom of the terminal board. according to the diagram that looks to be the rev limiter. i need help so i can get my brother in law bike back charging. was going to check for incoming a.c. voltage to the rectifier if i can find it.

not really sure but it might be on the front down and to the left( if your sitting on the bike) like a little black box with wires coming out of the bottom

Located at lower left front behind radiator a little, has red,yellow,yellow/brown,and brown wires on module. Pop the front panel and look down!

found it. had to remove front grill to get it removed. replaced with new one but had a bad wire connector. all is good now headlight gets brighter with engine rpm and no more dead battery.

thanks for the info
