ok took a little bit to get the idea for holding it secure its still not 100% but i need a couple idea's so if anyone wants to throw some out there my air intake side sits a little cocked i tryed shimming it but im not sure what i could do...

Any more pics of where the tubing etc. is routed? I really want to make one for my 05 but it looks like a major pain in the A$$.

 

yea i'll get some pictures of it... and yea i did it myself.. it cost me like 20.00 maybe a little more.. i bought a 24ft roll of sump hose at fleet farm for like 8.00 its kinda cheap but i think it will hold up because there isnt to much heat where my lines are...

and yea i turned my 90's around,, i think if i went front first into the water they could get submerged fairly easy so with them backwards gives me alot more room.. and still have room for my hands... i'll throw some pictures up this aft i have to change my plug...

also it cost like 3.00 to buy all the hose to route my diffs and carb... i havnt done my radiator yet,, i gotta rig somthing up for that i have a idea or two...

also the hardest part as you can see is getthing them secured to the rack so there is no movment.. right now there is none.. but they are shimmed with wood!! so when i goto the mud runs in tigerton on the 18th next month im sure somone will have some usfull hints for me..

the snorkels can be removed easily for checking oil or filling oil... and also oil changes,
it didnt take too long about a good afternoon during a cook out to get what i had done when i was in the water.. and then a few hours yesterday finishing up the snorkels (painting and fastening)

replace your wooden shims with shims made with a hockey puck easy to trim on a band saw and same colour as rack. you can even go fancy and do half moons they will never fall off. also, you should replace the nuts on your collars for nuts with nylon thread lock. this will also keeps the collars secure.

 

They look good. I work at a hardware store so we carry the hose and Fernco fittings and clamps, U-bolts etc...so I might have to give it a try!

 

The PICS are great and really speak a 1,000 words but is there a way you can type a short list of parts information.

Example:

2 ea. 2" PVC elbows
1 ea. 5ft. rubber hose (?)
3 ea. steel hose clamp fittings
1 tube of high temp silcone

(I don't know thats just some guesses?) I imagine too that you can get most of your warez at the auto store and hardware store?
