Went camping for 3 days and on the 3rd day the machine started to bog and tick loudly. If I let the machine cool for awhile 10mins...The ticking would go away and so would the bogging. Then it would come back if I pinned the throttle or any long term ridding 20mins or so. I'am almost out of warranty 20 days or so

I know polaris has a tick in there engine but this tick is alittle louder and almost sounds like a spark firing.

 

maybe valves out of adjustment? usually thats what ticking is. how many miles?

 

What is it 500 or 800 sportsman? Maybe you got bad gas in it or low octane fuel on a hot day or your engine is overheating and the warning light is not comming on. Let me know what exactly you did to the bike that day on the ride and I will see what I can figure out.
