Default 2004 700 break pads sticking

Hi everyone. Im the newbe on board.
I have an 04 pol. 700 sportsman puchased used.
I replaced the rear brake pads and seem to be
having trouble getting the pads to release from the
rotor. rotor will spin but heats up quick.
Also makes a grinding noise but not all the time ( Hope not from the C.V )
I bled the lines, and proper fluid level.
could it be dirt in the calliper piston or trash between
the pads & rotor ( would'nt think so because their so close together )
Any suggestions ?

Most of the time noise is from dirt and grit on the pads or rotor.Spray it down with water, then can use WD-40 to dissipate water and rust, usually helps,JUST dont try to stop suddenly for a while!

How did the pads that came off it look? Even wear patterns? Did the caliper slide move freely? Is the rotor getting visually red hot? Im not to sure about just dirt being that much trouble. Maybe a stuck caliper piston or caliper slide

Most likely time for a new caliper.

Try opening the bleeder when the brakes are sticking and see if they release. If they do, you have a hose bad. If not, you have a caliper bad.
