Just thought I would hit the highlights on this new 2009 ATV.
Called Jim at KidATVs and had it delivered a day earlier than promised. (Day before vacation!). Everyone, including the delivery driver was great. I was leaving for vacation and had the ATV delivered to my brother's house. It is on a Raural Route a mile down a dirt road and the driver still managed to get it there.
Assembly was pretty straight forward. Although I originally had the tire rotation in the wrong direction.
The front wheels had castle nuts with cotter pins. The rears had castle nuts, but no holes for pins. Some blue locktite during assembly seemed to be fine. Installed the battery and added some gas and it fired right up.
Ran it 10 minutes and changed the oil. The break-in oil is about the same as vegetable oil.
After 4 days of my son riding in the mountains on logging roads, the bike has performed great. Yes, some minor things. The chain guard bracket cracked. And the tail light bulb broke (standard 1157 bulb). but other than that, it didn't miss a beat.

You can read all the specs on their website, so I won't duplicate. It is a fine machine for 1/3rd the price of a big name brand. No, the quality is not up to par with Honda, not should you expect it to be. Some of the bolt-on guards are of thin metal and I do anticipate replacing them with something stouter in the future.
Now, my youngest is 8 and has been riding a 90cc and a 50cc for the last 2 summers. The new ATV seems perfect for him. On the other hand, I believe my 13 year old would beat this thing into the ground, as he is much more experienced (riding since age 4), rides more aggressively and weighs about 130 lbs (he also favors the 400cc+ bikes).
