my local quad dealer just informed me that honda was coming out with a liquid-cooled four stroke high performance quad. he said it will have a 650cc engine off of one of their current dirt bikes. he didn't have very many details, just that it should have more power than the Raptor. and have more suspension travel. let me know if you have more details.

The reason why you have heard that for the past 2 years is beacause they delayed it do to the success of the 400ex. STOP BUYING THOSE BEAUTIFUL 400'S!!!

 

well i think that a 500 would be beliveable but a 650.........the ruby has plenty of power so they could just put a larger body on it htan the 400 ex and walla........brand new racing atv...................but i dont know what you would do about the automatic

 

the new honde 650 that honda is working on will be called the honda 650ex and if theengine is coming off a bike it would br brought off the xr 650, but im pretty shore it is going to be more like a 400 ex beafed up to a 647cc engine but it will not be the 400 engine it will be a newer engine...

 

650EX it's 4 stroke right??...must be...that thing will fly...Imagine a 2-stroke...is that what their planning on putting in it??...I hope so.

 

Hate to burst your bubble, but HOnda does not tell anyone anything as far as new realeases go not even their dealers. Look how hush hush they where with the 250ex. Hopefully something new does come out, maybe they will use the new engine from the xr450 that they are working on and do alittle bit of port and polishing to it.

 

Yeah, My dealer said to expect something new also. Wouldn't say more than in the range of a 600 and wouldn't give me a time or price.

 

Could be true, but I wouldn't hold your breathe. I was looking at a 400EX brochure in the dealership and it said the 400EX was "the most radical ATV they have ever offered." I kind of disagree with that one. It should have said "the most radical ATV offered in that last 10 years."
