Default Fair price for 2006 Kodiak 450?

Yes - I am a newbie.

Hoping you guys can help me decide if I should pull the trigger on a deal:

2006 Kodiak 450. 400 miles. Blue. No issues. No extras. Stock wheels and tires. No winch. No aftermarket exhaust.

Condition is virtually perfect.

Is it worth $3,500? $3,750? $4,000? more?

Thanks in advance.

I guess you're not in Canada... I paid $4300 for an 03 with 5000 km on it last year, the guy was asking $4800.

That's about $3,900 USD. But that would be for an '04 model now, since it's a year later.

Hmmm.....

KBB says about $3,000 trade-in, $4,000 retail.

But I'm guessing 400 miles counts as low miles, so the number should be up a bit higher? Maybe $3500 trade-in, $4,500 retail?

Dealer offered me $3500 for mine as a trade in yesterday. 06 kodiak 450, 430 miles. I assume they would try to resell it for $4000-$4500. Then offered only $1200 for my KLR 250 which is in excellent condition and has 2200 miles on it. I declined the offer.

just bought the girlfriend a 07 kodiak from dealership that was brought in for consignment. SE model, all stock, 2500lbs warn winch with synthetic rope. Stock wheels and tires. 450km's. Paid $6900, then bought her new 26x12x12 & 26x10x12 mudlite's. So out dooor roughly $7350 CDN. Quad in mint shape though. The new yamaha's are alot more money than when i bought my 06 grizz 660 few years ago.

Thats expensive..I paid $5400 for a brand new kodiak 450 in 07, with 0 miles and a warn winch. Was just at my local yamaha dealer the other day and prices were $1500 below MSRP. 09 Grizzly 700 4x4 camo, power steering, efi, $8459 brand new. They even have that fancy red one for under $9000.

Correct. Flemington yamaha in NJ has the best deals I've seen out of all the places I've been too, and/or read about. I know alot of people who've bought from them and they always sell below MSRP, especially left over models.
