Default ATV Sled Pull Tips (I am in need of some)

Just wondering if anyone has any tips and tricks for helping in an ATV pull. I have heard lowering the tire PSI on all 4 tires and stiffening the rear suspension but thats about all I have heard. ANy tips you could post here I would appreciate. Thanks.

you are better off putting lots of air in your tiers and lowering your bike as low to the ground as you can get it and if you dont minde cheating you can fill you tires with water this will give you a extera 500 600 pounds and she will pull great hope i was helpful you should also take the shims out of your clutch so your bike is trying to move just sitting there and the belt is squeling like crazy

harder tires dig more and are easer to spin move out 3 to 5 lengths and then punch it and to get water in your tires you get a hose that will fit the valve stem and an adaptor that will fit your hose and put a t valve in the line take youe core out of the valve stem put the hose over the valve stem use a hose clamp to hold it on turn the hose on and let it fill untill it looks like it is going to bust then open the t valve and the air will come out do this untill you get water shut the valve and let it fill with water again do this untill when you open the t valve all you get is water remove the hose and put the valve core back in quickley the water will be squrting out hope you can figer this out

is it independent or strright axel if it is independent you can take the back shocks off and make stright pipe to go in there and it wont squat at all it will pull like crazy as long as your tires stay on the ground

thanks for all of your advice. i didnt have to cheat, i just used your advice to start off slow and punch it after a few trailer lengths. i used my uncle's can-am outlander 500. he ran his 500 in the 500cc class and got 2nd and i ran his 500 in the 650cc class and got 1st so it must be in the driver. thanks again.

I only recently stopped doing the pulls after 8 years with many, many first place finishs/trophys. I used a Polaris Magnum 5004x4(actually a 628 now). I used straps to squat the suspension down as far as possible in both the front and rear. As soon as you get the sled moving lean as far forward and lock the handlebars with your hips and just hang-on. I went as far as running Pitbull II cut pulling tires in 25/12/12 size on all 4 corners or GBC Mudshark tires in the 28/12/12 rear 28/10/12 front depending on the track composition and condition. I ran as low of a pressure as possible.
