Default sudtle backfiring through carb

2003 warrior backfiring thru carb. had carb rebuilt checked timing several times good compression fresh clean 89 octane fuel. I keep blowing apart carb joints because of this backfiring. it's not loud, just like a big puff of air about ten foot behind it. My wife first noticed while I was riding in front of her and I have since had the bike running at idle and stood behind it feeling the sudtle bursts of air from the exhaust pipe. carb joints are getting expansive and I'm on my fourth one. Can any one please help me out here?

Have you adjusted the valves recently? I would check valve lash first. Maybe intake is hanging open to long or not closing at all?
