Default 2004 polaris predator 500 jetting?

Hello I am looking for some advice on using the right main jet for my pred I live in the south eastern part of wisconsin and I have been told that were between 0-1,000 ft in elevation I have the pure polaris white brothers pipe on it running 8 discs stock air box and snorkel with a k&n panel filter and 5 uni vents in the back any suggestions on jet size would be great.

Thank you

Just purchase the Dynajet kit--it comes with a selection of jets, and suggestions on what jet to use for altitude and with air box/exhaust modifications.
I think their website is Dynajet.com.

Personally I would stick to the stock carb jets and not mess around with the Dynajet. If you have the PP pipe and a drop in K&N I doubt you would have to run more the 155-160 main range. Start at the 160 to be safe and come down if you have to. The PP pipe recommends stock jetting and with you air box cover on should have to go up to much. What are you at now? My money would be on the 155 if I was a betting man but again better be safe the sorry. If you really want to wake you Pred up get a clamp on filter and start jetting around the 170 range and drop the needle clip one down from the blunt end. Good Luck!

Heres the deal, the only mods are a k&n panel filter in the stock air box with the lid and 5 uni filter vents in the back of the box, a pp pipe with 12 discs, and a 170 main jet in the carb. the bike seemed to run fine with this set-up then I had a valve lash adjustment made just because I was told that you should do that to these machines after so many hrs. I brought it home seemed to run fine after the adjustment, then winter set upon us and I put it away for the winter, spring comes and I want to ride, it seemed to start like crap but it would run and idle then when Im actually riding the machine it seemed to be fine at a slower speeds like first through second as soon as I want to really get on it she will start acting up all jerky & jumpy like its not getting fuel that kinda feeling. I checked all the fuel issues all checked out good so I think its a jetting issue but what doesnt make sense to me is why would it have ran fine all this time before and now it acts up all of a sudden? the quad only has 61 hrs on it to this day and its an 04..........................
