Default 2008 Polaris Sportsman 800efi HO. Help

Hi, I need some help, i bout an 08 polaris sportsman 800 efi, its brand new, it was a carry over, but has less than 50 hours on it, but my problem is when i start it, it acts very cold blooded, it pops, and carrys on sounds like it comes from the air breather, and it about dies when it pops, it idles just fine, i have been reading about the ones dieing at idle, but thats not my problem, it just does this after i give it some throttle, but as soon as it warms up its fine, i know everything needs time to warm up, but i thought the purpose of efi was to reduce that, i took it to the dealership but there was no help there, any advice from anybody would be appreciated. thanks

It's not broke in yet. Put 200-300 miles on it. It will be fine.

Mine does this too...not too bad..but definitely does it when it is cold. I have 875 miles on mine. It only takes a min to warm up and quit though. I would put more miles on and see how she does after that.

I have this debate with people when we ride in the winter, how does efi warm up a motor(motor oil) faster?

Default re-flash ecm

You may ask the dealer if they'll re-flash the ECM... this is a simple task, but requires them to plug the computer up to it for the most up-to-date software. Is it under warranty?

What kind of air filter are you running? I have the same make/model/year! When I over oiled my K&N filter, sounds similar. I pulled it out and put the stock paper filter back in everything was fine.

Regards,

Yes, its under warranty, i will take it back before the warranty is up, it has 379 miles on it, and 44 hours, and it did not do it when i first got it, it still has the stock paper filter on it, i just got done cleaning it cuz it wasn't completely clean, but that didnt help, my stepdad has an 04 700 efi, and has never had a problem like this with his,

I have just recovered my 800 from the same problem. And I have to deal with this issue 3 times in the past.
The EFI ECU should deal with all weather and adjust the fuel mixture correctly whether it’s cold or nor. With no problem you can start the ATV and start riding immediately.

Probably (and I can almost sure about it) the focus of the problem located in one of these component :

1 : (Most likely), the harness or the 4 wires that connected to the T-BAP.
2 : T-BAP

I think you have to direct you dealer to this point.
