Default 2X adapter for older Big Bear

Wife inherited an older Big Bear 400 automatic. Don't have title yet and vin is covered so I don't know the year. Was told that there might be an aftermarket cable to switch from 4x to 2x.... anyone know of a source???

THX, Keith

it is a part that goes on the front driveshaft. it has a cable like an old style choke lever that mounts up to the handlebars. all it does is disconnect the front driveshaft, splitting it in two. it makes no gearing changes to the quad at all. if you want to do it in an attempt to gain power, it might make a little difference, but the gearing stays the same.

it is about 300 bucks, and you can get it from denniskirk.com
