250r swingarm needle bearings

im trying to get the needle bearings out of my 88 250r swingarm. so far no luck. do you guys have any ideas?

i cut the bolt out with a sawzaw now im stuck on this.

My bearings were stuck in there pretty good as well.

I used a torch to heat up the bearing and them used a screw driver to pry the outer race away from the swingarm. Once I could get a grip on the bearing, I used a set of needle nose pliers to pull it out. Too some time but I got one out.

The other side I used a socket that just fit into the swingarm and pounded it out.

Good luck. This was one of the hardest parts of my rebuild.

I had to use chisels and chisel the bearing out. I've heard a dremel tool or die grinder will work for cutting the bearing race out too.

tip for you..do NOT put needle bearings back in...Helms enterprises makes a nifty teflon bushing kit that is cheap, and easy to replace when they wear out. The ad is in the back of DW and 4WA

i already bought the pivot works rebuild for it.
but next time i will try those bushings. right now my friend has it and is asking around to see if his friend at a machine shop can get them out.

this so far has been the hardest part. the bolt and the needle bearings. im afraid when im done i wont want to get this thing dirty
