I don't think anyone sells a turbo kit for the ds anymore, kms out of phoenix az. made some at one time, I run a turbo on my ds and have it set up for duneing . you can do one but it will cost a bunch, turbo, intercooler, oiling system, and fuel injection. It took me 3 years and 4 motors before i got mine right.

You do NOT want to go there. Do a search on here, many have tried and many have given up. Might even say failed.
Just my opinion but I would go with a carb, CDI, Exhaust, and gearing to get what it is that you seek. Turbos are VERY maintenance intensive, and that is when they are working, which isn't often.

Oh, not being negative, just realistic. BigRay will tell you his new motto-"keep it stock"!
Many many hours of quality riding time spent back in camp wrenching and troubleshooting. In the real world only AZSand claims to have one that actually runs, everyone else has scrapped theirs or wants to.
Just being honest here, and the originator did state that he only has a filter and endcap. Much needs to be learned before strapping on a turbo.

I was going to put a turbo on one of my DS's too, until I did the research & found the same thing as everybody else... I decided to put an R1 engine it it instead... Now its fast as hell, & I can still idle around the yard all day at 5mph too.

i dont understand why the ds's are such hard to turbo. seems like raptors and 450's arent as big of a problem. Is it just the ecm and fuel injection that are used in the kits the cause of the problems? Can't you guys use the stuff they are using on the raptors? a few guys on here say it was a pretty simple deal and tuning is a minimum and others give nightmarish stories.....

you could use the raptor 700 efi, but you would need to machine the flywheel to the raptors size or use the raptor flywheel. the ds uses a single spark pickup where as the raptor uses a 11 or 12 tooth [forget] missing tooth design to keep the efi in time
