Default Is this good enough (TRX 125)

Hi,

New to the Honda World. Was looking at a 1985, 125cc Honda TRX for pulling a trail mower in the woods and pulling out deer and so forth($800). Is this a big enough atv for this>? Is it a 5 speed manual with reverse? maybe 1st gear is plenty of power for tasks, I dont care if I go real slow (less than 5mph). Any problems with these things or something to stay away from>? Is the price about right ($800) looks in good shape. Lot of questions here but need the help.

Thanks.

Look around and see if you can find a 300fourtrax for about the same price. I got a 1990 for 700 and it does every thing we need to do with it.Pulling hauling ect and decent power. Its a 5spd with reverse. A frind had a 125 and it ran prety good not sure about the hauling thing.

Thanks, it is hard to find cheaper, older atvs around here. Lots of 3 wheelers but dont want that. A 300 would be better but again, may be hard to find.

I'd get something with an aotumatic clutch. I have a great 86 200sx that would work great for you. Noit that I'm selling it, I'm just saying. It is probably worth $800

the trx 125 is an auto clutch 5 speed, just like my 84 trx 200. my cousin had an 84 trx 125, and they used to for hunting and pulling normal trailers...nothing bigger than a 14 ft. fishin boat or a 4'x8' trailer. if it is in ghood running order and not abused, i would use it for what you mention without hesitation. then again, i am used to smaller-bore quads doing alot of grunt work...

Hi all, ended up geting a 1999 Yamaha Beartracker 250 with an automatic clutch 5 speed for $600, everything seems to work good on it. I think I got a deal. Thanks for the help!
