Default winch mount options for '09 550XP

I'm getting a warn xt25 winch and need to get a mount for it. I hear the KFI ones are good but they mount the winch upside down, are there any others that are good and mount the intended way? Maybe Motoalliance's mount will work?

Thanks

DON'T BUY THE KFI !

I bought one, greaat quality BUT the winch terminals won't fit without cutting out a 1" square out of the mount for each terminal. They won't respond to my email request to send pics of trouble areas. Thier claim to fame is that the product is American Made. Maybe so, but in this case, the Chinese are better with the measuring tape.

The KFI works fine and is pretty well priced. You just have to wire it up before installing it. Works great on my 850.

I couldn't get the winch in the mount with the rubber terminal boots on with my Warn RT 30 winch. Here are some photos.

Mongrel,
Mine worked fine. Can you tell me, when you face the ATV, which side of the plate did you make your cuts, left or right? I did have to "prewire" it up and then mount the plate around the winch but all in all, a simple install.

I just had the dealer install a rt 25 with the kfi mount. They did not have to cut the mount at all. The winch is upside down(I made sure to tell them about that when I dropped it off) But works great.

I am just having them install the Warn RT 3.0 that purepolaris sells (minus the 15% discount on anything I order through them with the purchase of my machine) and they are installing it for free...so what i am getting at is that it is coming with a mount for the 550...so I presume everything would be okay if you went that route?

Yes. The mounting instructions that come with the KFI show the winch being upside down. Doesn't affect it's performance at all. It's also important to note the orientation of the plate.

The terminals were on the left. as per Warns and KFI instructions. Buddy with RT 25 Warn had same problem.
