Default oem wheel vs. aftermarket

Hey guy's, I was wondering just how much weight difference there is from a stock 12" steel wheel to lets say a 12" aluminum. And would I see any benefits swithing to aluminum over steel, other than just looking alot nicer.

I'd say your best bet would be to look on the manufacturer website, because there will be so many different numbers, between the manufacturers, and the different styles of wheels that are available

Default Wheels

Aluminum rims are lighter. The benefit you gain from that is less weight for the machine to turn so you basically use less to get more. Won't see hp or top end difference(on a stock machine) but will make life easier on your drivetrain/belt. Thus the switch that many are making to 14" rims which gives you more rim and a lot less tire. Just ordered a set myself and am looking forward to seeing how much of a difference there is.
